i was driving home tonight when i saw an owl sitting in the middle of the road. i pulled over and called my friend for advice and he said maybe call 911. so as i’m getting ready to call, a truck comes zipping by right over the top of it. it was knocked over and really upset me. then right behind it a smaller car did the exact same thing. i pulled up to it and started yelling at it to see if it would move. :/ it didn’t and it broke my heart. i now have the rescue and rehabilitation for the local wildlife number saved in my phone in case i come across this ever again. tonight has broken my heart for the fact that i was the only one who slowed down for it.
